Malawi Olympic Committee in conjunction with Stepping Stone School conducted a tree planting exercise in the pursuit of curbing the effects of climate change.

Speaking in an interview, Ms. Kilowe, the Head Mistress of Stepping Stone school stated that this exercise will help to nurture the students into finding ways of preserving and saving the environment in order to mitigate some of the effects of climate change the world is facing today.
“This is the second phase of this exercise since we first introduced it in 2024 and so far it has brought much impact to us as an education institution and the community as a whole, “ Said Kilowe.
Mr. Pyson Likagwa, representing the Malawi Olympic Committee, graced the event and commended the program as a game changer in as far as curbing the effects of climate change is concerned.
A total of 130 trees have been planted with Malawi Olympic Committee donating 30 more trees to the exercise.
