“As we are aware of the pandemic amongst us, MOC decided to assist our Athletes and the sport fraternity by involving the sports federations, Sakala said.”
Handball Association of Malawi`s General Secretary, Dennis Kumwenda, welcomes the gesture describing it as timely, saying most associations are failing to cope with the current situations.
“The country is going through a very tough situation with the covid-19 pandemic and since MOC has come in, it is a very welcome development as most associations where failing to get resources to help our Athletes, said Kumwenda. “
Kumwenda further appealed to the associations to put the donation to good use so that the resources should reach the prime beneficiaries who are the athletes.
