Malawi Olympic Committee has dared athletes to win medals at international events. The committee’s vice president Flora Mwandira said this during the International Olympic Day at Mulanje Park Stadium on Saturday 2 July, 2022.
Mwandira said they engaged different associations to inspire them to produce medal- winning athletes on the international scene.
“We need to jointly groom athletes for major events.”
She said
Meanwhile, Mulanje District Commissioner Stallish Mwamba urged athletes that are based in the district to put extra effort.
“Athletes, be it footballers or runner, need to hone their skills.”
