MALAWI OLYMPIC COMMITTEE CONDUCTS MARKETING WORKSHOP

The Malawi Olympic Committee (MOC) has today 26^th of April started a three days marketing workshop at Lingadzi Inn in Lilongwe.

The workshop has drawn two participants from each sport association affiliated to the Malawi Olympic Committee in Malawi. Dr. Zandivuta Kankhuni a senior lecturer from Mzuzu University is facilitating the Workshop.

Speaking during the opening ceremony the Guest of honor Mr. Henry Sakala who is also the MOC Treasurer General said that, they have organized this workshop in order to impart knowledge of Marketing to the Associations which is Key performance area number two of Malawi Olympic Committee Strategic plan 2021-2025.

Mr. Sakala urged the participants to take the workshop seriously as it will change the marketing of their respective Sports Associations.

In his remarks Chief Masawani from Mzimba district who is the President of Basketball Association of Malawi said he is hopeful that, the workshop will help the Associations in Marketing their Associations and finding sponsors for their activities.

The workshop is being funded by Olympic Solidarity and will run from today 26 to 28 April, 2023.
