Areneo David has returned home from Switzerland due to the Covid-19 pandemic. He returned home from Kamuzu International Airport on 20th March 2020 and has been advised to be in isolation for 14 days.
Speaking in an interview, David said he will eventually go back to training after the isolation process, so as to be in track of his performance.
“Tokyo 2020 is around the corner and i do not have enough time to train. I will resume intensive training soon after i finish the isolation process,” said David.
Areneo David is one of the Malawian Athletes who benefited from the Olympic Solidarity Scholarship towards Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
