Volunteer Coaches and Primary School teachers today 02 June, 2023 attended O! YES workshop at Olympafrica Center in Lilongwe.
The O! YES, program is an Olympafrica program aimed at promoting the social development of young athletes. It is a youth empowerment program through sports. The aim of today’s workshop was to instill knowledge into center volunteer coaches and primary school teaches around Olympafrica center, and also to get feedback following the first workshop which took place in December, 2022.
A total of 23 participants have benefited from the workshop which was being facilitated by Mr. James Mangani who is a center director for Olympafrica in Malawi.
After the workshop participants in the afternoon demonstrated the knowledge gained coupled with a number of students from various schools.
Speaking with one of the participants Pilate Chibengeli said, they have evaluated the Athletes, and they have hope that in near future they will produce elite Athletes. He further said that, he was happy to see Young Athletes portraying, Tolerance, Inclusion and Respect which are Game Values.
